MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Transportation has awarded a contract on June 6 for pavement improvements in Mississippi County.
The $1,493,235 contract was awarded to Magruder Paving LLC in Troy, Mo.
The project includes the addition of a thin-lift overlay on Route 80 in two disconnected sections from east of Route AA to Belmont, on Route 77 in two disconnected sections near Wyatt and Dorena, and on Route 102 from south of Route 80 to Route A near Dorena.
Weather permitting, construction is expected to start as early as this July.
MoDOT says the work zones will be marked with signs as work is underway. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution when traveling near the area and plan for possible delays. MoDOT will alert drivers prior to any changes in traffic.
