Thousands of chickens inside chicken house on fire | News
BERTRAND, MO (KFVS)- Emergency crews were called to the scene of a fire at a chicken house south of Bertrand.
According to the Charleston Fire Department, crews were called to the house in the 1700 block of North Highway B, south of Bertrand, before noon on Monday.
The chief says there was reportedly thousands of chickens in the building when it caught fire.
The chief said the inside of the building was gutted. He said he wasn't sure how many chickens lived.
At this point, the chief said it appears the fire was electrical.
