Hearnes Elementary Science Club starts | News

CHARLESTON, MO (KFVS) - Science Club is Hearnes Elementary's largest student organization, and it has officially opened it's doors to 220 students eager to get their hands messy and their minds thinking.

Charlotte McNeary, 5th grade science teacher and Science Club sponsor, says that due to the increased enrollment, the club is divided into five small groups instead of a large group setting. Meetings are held on Mondays (1st Grade on the first Monday of each month, 2nd Grade on the second, etc.).

Although students may choose to purchase a tee shirt, all memberships and activities are offered at no cost to students. All public donations are welcome, as they help to cover the cost of supplies which are vital to the program.
