CHARLESTON, MO (KFVS) - Chief Robert Hearnes with the Charleston Department of Public Safety says a fire broke out at the old Sisca gas station around 9:30 Monday morning.
Hearnes says this is the gas station this right by the Highway 62 bridge that goes into Cairo. He says when Charleston Fire Fighters arrived, the abandoned building was fully engulfed. He says the fire fighters fought the fire, but were not able to save anything.
According to Hearnes, the building has been abandoned with no utilities hooked up to it for several years. He says this fire is considered suspicious and is under investigation.
