MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - "Dunkin' With Dads (and Other Important Men)" was held at Charleston Middle School for students in Grades PreK-8th and their fathers (or father-figures).
Speaking at the event were award-winning Coach Gene Bess of Three Rivers College fame, and freshman Raiders basketball player Trey Watkins. They spoke to the audience about the importance of fatherhood and having good male role models.
Coach Bess was the first college basketball coach ever to reach 1,000 wins, and holds the record for all-time winningest Junior College coach with a win-loss record of 1169-331. Bess was joined this year by Watkins, who is a Charleston native and was a member of the 2012 CHS Basketball team that won the Blue Jays their 11th Missouri State Championship.
