MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Bolder Five-Year Direction was approved by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission on June 8, which increased the Southeast District and named new district engineers.
With the new direction, 11 counties were added to the Southeast District bringing the total to 25, Mark Shelton was named the new district engineer and Matt Seiler and Tom Stehn were named assistant district engineers.
Shelton has been a district engineer for the Southeast District since 2005 and has worked for MoDOT for almost 26 years.
"I am excited about this new direction and look forward to working with the additional counties in the Southeast District, as well as the communities we serve," said Shelton. "The experience that Matt and Tom bring to the District will help further our mission."
Seiler began his career with MoDOT in construction in Willow Springs.
